HEADWATERS THEATer
ABOUT
The Headwaters operates as a DIY theater. Renters and SSP residents self produce their shows. We do not provide lighting or sound technicians but if requested we can provide contacts for sound or light technicians who know the theater systems very well, and they can be hired independently with their own rates depending on their availability. The Headwaters does not provide box office crew or stage managers, this is the responsibility of the renters. We do provide information about the space through Video Tours, so everyone knows how to run our systems properly. The Headwaters no longer provides concessions and no one from the organization will be present during your shows.
The Headwaters is a black box theater space with black walls and curtains, comfortable cushioned seating, and a black masonite floor covering a birch sprung-wood dance floor. It is available for rehearsals, film/photography, live performances, events, screenings, etc. The 33′ x 23′ floor serves as a rehearsal and workshop space as well as a stage, which opens up to our 66-seat theater (62 fixed seats on risers and additional seating for up to 3 wheelchair accessible spaces or 4 folding chairs). Total theater capacity is 107 for all performers, stage crew, theatre staff, and audience (we suggest 53 for covid safety). The space is equipped with professional stage lighting, sound, projector, lobby, box office, dressing room, heating/aircon/hvac, mini-fridge/microwave/water-heater.
RATES FOR THE HEADWATERS THEATER Rental:
$60/hour for rehearsals
$75/hour for productions and performances
$50 fee for in-person onboarding that is beyond our virtual onboarding process
$25 lost key fee
$250 fee if the renter is grossly negligent in following rental procedures including failure to lock and secure the doors
WATERLINE STUDIO
ABOUT
Waterline Studio is a brightly lit 800 square foot practice space available for classes, workshops, & rehearsals. Large windows on three sides of the space allow for significant natural lighting. Folding chairs, yoga mats, and yoga bolsters are available for props and bodywork use. Two large mirrors can be covered or uncovered depending on renter needs. Sound system available.
Waterline Studio is fully ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible with access to a bathroom.
RATES FOR WATERLINE STUDIO RENTAL:
$30/hour to $50/hour depending on the use of the space, please contact us at management@witd.org to discuss
